WHO I AM & WHAT I DO

With 15 years of full-time professional experience and Executive MBA graduate IMD, International Institute for Management Development, I have worked with international teams across different countries and business regions and pivoted through various management and advisory roles in three key fields: financial services, IT and entrepreneurship.

I currently lead the Swiss and Austrian IT consulting branch for the Business Intelligence giant, Microstrategy. Before this, I spent 10 years at the largest Wealth Manager in the world, UBS, where, I held positions such as Chief of Staff EU and Emerging Markets, a unit of over 445bn in invested assets and 2000 staff.

In August 2020 I founded my second company, a natural cosmetics company with a sustainability focus:
SQIN Ø www.sqinzero.ch .
In 2010 I set up my own bakery business yielding profitable growth for over 3 years. Since then, I advise midsize companies and startups in different industries on topics such as growth, customer experience and business model transformation.

I believe in purpose and culture as key success factors and the basis of high performing teams. Agility, scaling customisation and customer centricity will drive business growth; companies need to be part of their customers' life, just a product or service wont do. Finally, fun! Enabling an environment where you are able to laugh and be creative yields better results and simply makes life better!

What’s this? How Jack asked the wrong question. The Nightmare Before Christmas: A Leadership Lesson
Dec 29, 2020 Medium
Have you ever watched the movie "The Nightmare Before Christmas"?
This cult movie is a technical masterpiece in stop-motion that took about three years to be completed. Danny Elfman created the soundtrack and the iconic song "What's this" interpreted by the main character Jack Skellington.
In this publication I explain how this 3-minute song led a great leader to calamity, creating a catastrophe of epic proportions. It highlights the importance of authentic leadership, bias awareness and establishing a common purpose.
The Awakening: Is the pandemic the wake-up call society needs?

After a few weeks of living through one of the biggest social and health crisis the world has seen I have observed the increase of an underlying issue that affects almost every single person in the world: misinformation.
In this short note I highlight some of the points I see as critical risks in what is meant to be a thought and discussion provoking text.
Founded in 2011 by the Swiss entrepreneur Viktor Calabrò, Coople operates the largest on-demand staffing platform in Europe. It has enjoyed rapid growth and is considered one of the most successful Swiss based tech start-up / platform company.
This strategy and business innovation case explores how innovative business models disrupt traditional industries, especially if those industries are not able to self-cannibalize. It covers the key elements of successful platform strategy (network effects, the importance of scaling and automation) as well as the platform paradox and the strategic choices needed when growing from a start-up into an established company.
